金蓮院のラカンマキ | Yew plum pine at Konren-in

ラカンマキはマキ科に属する常緑樹で、古い文献にも記された名木です。ラカンマキの大木は都内でも極めて少なく、金蓮院のは、樹高10m余、幹周は約3m、樹齢は400～450年といわれています。

Yew plum pine (Rakanmaki) is an evergreen tree of the family Podocarpaceae, and is a famous tree written in old literature. This yew plum pine at Konren-in is 10 meters high, 3 meters trunk circumference, age is 400 to 450 years, such big yew plum pine is very rare in Tokyo.
