豊田正子『綴方教室』のふるさと | Hometown of Masako Toyoda "Tsuzurikata Kyoshitsu"

豊田正子(とよだまさこ)は日本の随筆家で、墨田区で生まれた後、小学校時代を葛飾区四つ木で過ごしました。小学4・5年生の頃に教師・大木顕一郎らの指導で書いた作文が『綴方教室』に収められて刊行され、『綴方教室』はベストセラーとなり、映画化され、本人朗読によるレコードも発売されました。その後も数々の作品を発表、『花の別れ』で昭和61年(1986)に日本エッセイスト・クラブ賞受賞しました。平成8年(1996)に脳梗塞で倒れますが、リハビリを受けながら不自由な手で作品を書き続けました。平成22年(2010)に東京都内の病院で88歳で亡くなりました。

Ms. Masako Toyoda is a Japanese essayist, born in Sumida and spent her elementary school days in Yotsugi, Katsushika. When she was in the 4th and 5th grades of elementary school, the essay written under the guidance of teacher Kenichiro Oki and others was published in the "Tsuzurikata Kyoshitsu". The book became a bestseller, made into a movie, and a record was released read by herself . Since then, she had released numerous works, and won the Japan Essayist Club Award for "Hana no Wakare" in Showa 61th (1986). She had a stroke in Heisei 8th (1996), but she continued to write works with her handicapped hands while undergoing rehabilitation. She passed away in Heisei 22th (2010) at a hospital in Tokyo at the age of 88.
