『大気』の彫像 | Sculpture "Taiki (atmosphere)"

晝間弘(ひるまひろし)は、葛飾区出身の彫刻家です。初期の木彫から塑像、ブロンズへと広げ数々の作品を残しました。昭和24年(1949)第5回日展出品作「希望」は政府買上げとなっています。昭和45年(1970)の日展出品作「穹」で日本芸術院賞を受賞、昭和51年から54年まで筑波大学教授、昭和55年からは日展常務理事をつとめました。水元公園にある作品展示されている『大気』は、昭和39年(1964)の第7回日展で文部大臣賞を受賞した作品です。

Hiroshi Hiruma is a Japanese sculptor born in Katsushika. He expanded his works from wood carvings to statues and bronze, leaving a lot of works. The "Kibou (hope)" exhibited at the 5th Nitten Exhibition in Showa 24th (1949) was purchased by the government. He received the Award of the Japan Art Academy for the work "Sora" exhibited the Nitten Exhibition in Showa 45th (1970). He was a professor at the University of Tsukuba from Showa 51th (1976) to 54th (1979), and was a executive director of the Nitten Exhibition from Showa 55th (1980). The work at Mizumoto Park "Taiki (atmosphere)" won the Prize of the Minister for Education at the 7th JNitten Exhibition in Showa 39th (1964).
